Want to help our school? There are several ways you can help our students succeed! Sign up on our volunteer list and let us know what you can do, purchase something from our teacher wishlists, or make a financial contribution. There is much to be done, and it takes a community to accomplish it.

We are immensely grateful when our community gets involved in supporting our school in this way. If you’d like to help but don’t see a job on the list that suits you, sign up here and tell us how you can help. Please note background checks are required for all certified classroom volunteers.
CLASSROOM READERS
One of our favorite ways to connect with our community is by hosting classroom readers in our classrooms. If you’d like to sign up to read in one of our classrooms, pick a class time that works for you, and sign up!

Community Partnership
Community Partnerships that Make a Difference
Our community partnerships and investments are the best our region has to offer. Caring adults who are professionals in their field give time to our students within the classroom so they can see why education is important to a career. Conscientious citizens invest in our students through donations because we understand that in order to have a strong and caring culture, our next generation must be equipped with knowledge, skills, a love of freedom, and kindness towards one another.
Giving Back
Learning should have heart. There is a reason for everything we learn here at Skillern Elementary. As students connect learning to more important goals, they take ownership of their own progress and future successes. Service to others is at the forefront of all we do. Students understand that we learn so we can take care of ourselves, take care of others, take care of our environment, and enjoy life and live it to its fullest, producing knowledgeable, virtuous, satisfied citizens who want to give back. These students make the future of Hamilton County bright!
